Joseph Project in the villages

The Joseph Project was begun in late 2008 when two tracts of land in the village of Sika-Kondji were donated by the chief for that purpose. The first stage of this was to clear and plow some 4 acres to grow crops to help supply much-needed food for the orphans (then being cared for in local village homes). In early 2011 the second stage was begun - that of constructing an orphanage compound to house the orphans and enable them to begin to raise small animals and more vegetables to help provide for themselves. We are happy to announce that the first 20 orphans were accepted into the completed orphanage in July 2012. Since then a small church building has been erected and the Joseph Project Orphanage has become recognized as an active Christian witness in the area.
