BIBLE FUN - Bible Olympics
We've recently developed this collection of unusual bible quizzes that can be used individually as part of regular classroom teaching, or for a special fun event for a larger group - even the whole church! Test your own bible knowledge while enjoying these special "Bible Olympics"!
Autograph game
This is a fun way for children to learn more about one another in an informal way, and then to learn more about important bible characters. It is an excellent game for a children's party and will teach from the Bible at the same time!
Hidden Treasure Map puzzle
This puzzle is a good way to encourage children (or youth!) to look up bible verses and become familiarized with their bible, as they search for clues. This principle can be used to develop other puzzle pages and games also.
Gigantic Bible quiz
This is an interesting bible quiz for teams (either of children, youth or adults!) who think they know the bible! The winning team is found in a very unusual way!
Bible-based team races
These are fun activities and races for children that also teach important biblical stories and principles. As outdoor activities, they are a great way to start off a children's rally or special event and attract other participants.
Christmas puzzle games
Here are several bible puzzle games based on the Christmas story.
SIMPLE SKITS - Pedro's Birthday Party - evangelistic program
This involves a puppet skit and also two simple drama skits that together explain salvation. It is perfect as an evangelistic Christmas program followed by a Christmas party for children.
Elijah tells his story
This special lesson is taught by a visitor with beard and costume, portraying Elijah. He carries a sack with mementos that remind him of various stories to share.
Prodigal Son skit
This is an updated version of the parable of the Prodigal Son and is written for a third world culture, such as in Africa. You can easily adapt it to reflect the culture of where YOU live.
Story of Noah's Ark told by a parrot
A visitor wearing a bird costume tells the story of Noah's Ark, from the point of view of a parrot. (Can be adapted for other animals)
Sheep and goats drama skit
This is a simple but profound skit that is performed to narration from the Bible, therefore is great for use on mission trips to foreign countries.
Animal puppet skit - True Christianity
This humorous skit involving animal puppets (or soft toys) of a lion, a sheep and a skunk, helps children understand how to live like Jesus in an everyday situation.
Phil and the Hippy skit
This humorous skit, acted to the narration of an updated version of the story of Philip and the Ethiopian, presents evangelism in an easy-to-understand way for children (and adults!) today.
Animal puppet skit - Golden Rule
This is another simple skit teaching the Golden Rule using animal puppets or soft toys.
Skit of interview with Gideon
This skit involves interviewing a visitor in costume portraying Gideon telling his story. The idea can also be adapted for other Bible characters.
SPECIAL TEACHINGS - Special monthly church themes
This gives ideas to teach monthly series of bible teachings based on a simple theme, which can be taught with the aid of a simple set of props to help maintain the attention of the children.

This little booklet was produced to go along with a practical workshop we taught on making Bible stories come alive to children. It includes many simple ideas for games and having fun with your children while teaching them the Bible. Print page 2 on the back of page 1, page 4 on the back of page 3, and page 6 on the back of page 5. Then place them in order, fold in half and staple to produce your booklet.
Easter cookie recipe
This is an exciting way to tell children the true story of Easter while following simple directions to make some special Easter cookies. The recipe is in the form of a small illustrated booklet that is easy to print and reproduce.
